It's not strange. :) Well I guess it doesn't seem weird to me since I've lived here my whole life. Basically we start elementary school around 5 years old and go there for our first few years of school. Then you go to middle school for another few years. The last of the nessecary schooling is in high school, which comes after middle school. You end up graduating high school after grade 12. In those twelve years you learn math, science, english, and social studies along with many other subjects. A downside about American schooling is that we cover more topics, but don't go as in depth with it as schools in other countries might. Homework assignments usually take about 2 hours per night. There are usually semester exams in high school, which can have a big impact on grades. After we're done with high school (about age 18), we will have the option to go to a university to get a special degree that goes along with an occupational field we want to go into. I'd like to tell you more about the universities here, but I'm still in high school so I don't know what it's like. Do I like how we study here? Yeah, I do. I hope that's the kind of information you're looking for. What's the schooling system like where you are?
